If you know almost nothing about single malts, this book might be helpful - but I would advise getting a book that gives you some more information, and goes into some depth as well as critical information concerning distilleries, independent bottlers, etc.

- Malt Whisky Yearbook, Micheal Jackson (although the new stuff is actual written by other "experts"), Jim Murray, etc. the biginners guide /5(40). This beautifully presented Little Book is an excellent introduction to the world of Scotch whiskies.

It includes the major Scotch whiskies and the distilleries that produce them. The book includes details of the very best of Scottish single malts and deluxe whiskies, covering Speyside (Cardhu, Glenfarclas, Glenfiddich) the Highlands and Islands /5(38).

The book includes details of the very best of Scottish single malts and deluxe whiskies, covering Speyside (Cardhu, Glenfarclas, Glenfiddich) the Highlands and Islands (Blair Athol, Glenmorangie, Talisker), to Islay (Ardbeg, Laphroaig), the Lowlands (Auchentoshan, Glenkinchie) and Campbeltown (Glen Scotia).

Tasting Notes: Little Book The Easy. Vital Stats: proof (wow that’s precise!).A combination of bourbon, corn whiskey, rye whiskey, and malt whiskey. Appearance: Bright copper Little book of malt whiskies book A very sweet-and-savory nose.I get salted peanuts, fresh corn, sherry, almonds, wood shavings, white wine, caramel corn, and the scent that rises from a fresh loaf of multigrain bread/5.

It includes all straight whiskeys: 4 year old bourbon, 13 year old corn, 5 year old % malt, and 5 year old rye.

Like Booker’s bourbon, Little Book is uncut and unfiltered, to preserve the full flavor. The dominant note, cornbread, still allows the malt’s sweetness and the rye’s spice to come through.

Freddie Noe, the eighth generation distiller, just launched Little Book—his first product release. And it’s not a bourbon, nor is it a rye. Beyond that, it’s set to be an annual limited Author: Karla Alindahao.

Tasting Notes: Little Book Chapter 2: Noe Simple Task. Vital stats: proof, about $ for ml, a blend of 8-year Kentucky straight rye, year percent corn Canadian whisky and year Canadian rye. Appearance: It looks like whiskey!A pleasing, middle-of-the-road whiskey color. Light amber, with a slightly orange hue: Think more organic navel than neon orange mandarin peel/5.

That whiskey is here: Little Book, which is designed to be an annual release available in limited quantities. (13 years old), rye, and malt whiskies (both about 6 years old), each representative of the three grains commonly found in a bourbon mashbill, and balanced with uncut and unfiltered four-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey / Whisky: Malt Whiskies of Scotland (Collins Little Books) - Ebook written by Dominic Roskrow.

Little Book isn't bourbon, it's a blend. Last year's "The Easy" was a blend of corn whiskey, rye, malt whiskey, and bourbon. Forthe Beam boys are out with a new version of Little Book, appropriately called Chapter 2, "Noe Simple Task.". The annual series started in with Little Book Chapter 1: "The Easy" - a blend consisting of a 4 year old Bourbon, a 13 year old Corn Whiskey, a 6 year old Malt Whiskey and a 6 year old Rye Whiskey.

This first batch, “The Easy,” is a blend of year-old corn whiskey, 5-year-old rye whiskey, 5-year-old malt whiskey, and 4-year-old bourbon. “Little Book” is Freddie’s childhood nickname.

Bottled at proof, Little Book is not a bourbon, but instead a blended whiskey, drawing on the larger palette of American whiskeys: bourbon, rye, malt and corn whiskey. It’s slated to be released in distinctive batches at the rate of two per year, with the first batch reported to draw.

Little Book Chapter 3: “The Road Home” features a blend of four super-premium Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskies, one from each brand of the original Small Batch Bourbon Collection created by his grandfather Booker Noe in the early s.

The result is a meticulously blended whiskey with depth of flavor and legacy. FREDDIE’S NOTE. Buy Whisky: Malt Whiskies of Scotland (Collins Little Books) Second edition by Roskrow, Dominic (ISBN: ) from Amazon's Book Store.

Little Book Chapter Two More Canada Than Kentucky in Canadian Whisky, News Septem 0 Freddie Noe, eighth generation Beam distiller and creator of Little Book Whiskey, has announced the second installment in his annual, limited-release series of.

Little Book Whiskey “The Easy” is the latest release from Jim Beam, is the brainchild of Fred’s son Freddie and named after Booker’s (Fred’s Dad) name for Freddie Little Book.

This release, called The Easy, is the first in a new annual series and the essential idea behind these releases will be that each year it will have a 89%. Yet, this is the pitch that accompanies this Little Book release, the second in a series.

To try to make some sense of this, a bit of background is required. The Booker’s label will be familiar to whiskey drinkers as a part of Beam Suntory’s portfolio of small batch releases, along with Baker’s, Basil Hayden’s, and Knob Creek.item 2 Whisky: Over of Scotlands Best Malt Whiskies (Collins Little Books) - Whisky: Over of Scotlands Best Malt Whiskies (Collins Little Books) $ item 5 Little Book Whisky Pb (UK IMPORT) BOOK NEW - Little Book Whisky Pb (UK IMPORT) BOOK NEW.
